Modernising Noosa Council
As part of the Noosa 2.0 initiative, an audit of councils brands and a master brand iteration was required to modernise and future-proof the council. Our studio aimed at 2040 to establish longevity throughout the Olympic Games and beyond with a timeless design approach. As part of the brand refresh we took a deep dive into the Boronia flower to understand the nature of its form. We then set about modernising the trademark into a versatile brand stamp that remains authentic to the features of the flower and is also device ready. We designed a custom "Noosa" typeface from scratch. Designed to be bold, modern and legible from a distance. Paired with "Helvetica Now Display" body copy. It is accessible to everyone and future proof. We held 4 brand strategy workshops with various stakeholders at the Noosa Council. These strategic sessions informed the visual treatment of all the brand assets including the colour palette which represents the landscape from hinterland to sea.
